  • Maintain a Safety training matrix for all roles, leading on content definition and facilitating direct/external delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a Safety management system reflective of ISO 45001, while providing ad hoc departmental support through guidance and advice.
  • Establish, maintain and develop a Quality Management System across SH&E, integrating activity within wider business systems and processes
  • Horizon scan and provide strategic advice as the organization develops its service delivery model.
  • Oversee corporate and operational Environmental compliance for the business while developing and maintaining an Environmental Compliance framework aligned with the safety management system.
  • Work with departmental heads and our supplier management team to review, on board and oversee supply partners from Safety and Environmental perspectives.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a related subject such as Occupational Safety and/or hold a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation related to the built environment and occupational health and safety.
  • A detailed understanding of Safety compliance and enforcement, with some experience of working with both safety and environmental statutory bodies.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels with a high degree of numeracy and IT literacy.
  • Proficient in safety leadership and reporting at company level to both executive teams and shareholders
  • Experience with specialist software programs related to environmental performance and H&S management.
  • A strong attention to detail with a tenacious approach to ensuring compliance and influencing behaviour within an operational business and its supply chain.
  • Able to manage a small team and consultants, scaling resources and activity.
  • Experience in SHEQ leadership at the director level within a real estate organisation, or expertise in the specification, selection, and deployment of property, real estate, and facilities management systems.
