Job summary

Accelero, a UK specialist antenna design and manufacturing business, seeks a technically credible engineering leader to own the RF and antenna team and guide its next growth stage. The role offers a seat on the Senior Leadership Team and a chance to shape strategy, governance and product-led development.

The appointed leader will mentor engineers, oversee design, simulation and measurement, and ensure robust processes while collaborating across functions.

Qualifications

• Genuine antenna engineering expertise with strong theoretical and practical understanding.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST, HFSS or FEKO, and ability to interpret outputs.
• Knowledge of antenna measurement (radiation patterns, S-parameters) and testing environments.
• Proven experience leading, managing or mentoring engineers; formal line management preferred.
• Collaborative leadership style with constructive challenge.
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Willingness to work predominantly on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of six engineers and a test/measurement specialist.
• Provide technical direction and challenge antenna design, simulation and measurement work.
• Mentor and develop engineers with regular one-to-one meetings and development plans.
• Review and improve engineering processes, governance and ways of working as the function scales.
• Help move the business to a product-led approach with more R&D and innovation.
• Collaborate with other departments and support ERP/CRM change.
