Job Description:

The Change Partners are working with an iconic Travel brand seeking a Head of Retail. The position is initially on a part-time basis (1-2 days per week), with potential to increase to a permanent role.

The Head of Retail will oversee the retail strategy and execution, including Duty Free and Operator tender management, working closely with Operators to ensure retail excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement retail strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
2. Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising, promotions, and team motivation.
3. Manage retail operations, including inventory, visual merchandising, and store standards, particularly within duty-free and tender environments.
4. Coordinate Outlet implementation with Operators.
5. Ensure a customer-centric approach, providing exceptional service to international travelers.
6. Manage budgets, analyze sales data, control costs, and report to senior management.
7. Build relationships with authorities, concessionaires, brand partners, and stakeholders in the duty-free sector.
8. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
9. Lead the development of tender bids for retail concessions, understanding commercial and operational requirements.

Your background:

1. At least 5 years of high-volume retail experience, with significant exposure to duty-free, travel retail, airports, or international concessions.
2. Proven success in increasing sales and profits across multiple stores.
3. Deep understanding of duty-free operations and concession agreements.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
5. Financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
