A leading food packaging company in the UK is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development Specialist, responsible for overseeing projects from planning to operation. The ideal candidate will possess at least eight years of experience in renewable energy project development, understand the complexities of technical and environmental aspects, and have strong project management skills. This role is critical in helping advance sustainable practices within the organization and community, and requires a full UK driving licence.
Planning and development to pre-construction. For smaller-scale projects, you’ll oversee delivery through to operation, and you’ll also manage land lease agreements with third-party developers where appropriate. This role offers the chance to drive innovation, champion community benefit and bring forward emerging technologies with real potential to scale. With at least eight years’ experience in renewable energy project development across multiple technologies, you’ll understand the technical, commercial and environmental aspects of complex projects and be confident working with planning authorities, statutory consultees and local communities. You’ll be a capable project and commercial manager, an effective communicator and a collaborative leader with a strong analytical mindset and positive, adaptable approach. A full UK driving licence is required; qualifications such as RTPI, RICS or similar are beneficial but not essential.
