Director - Eximius Finance (Accounting and Finance recruitment)

A top-tier US Investment Bank, operating a hybrid working policy with 3 days in the office, is seeking a Head of Regulatory Reporting. This role can be hired at Senior VP or Director level. You will oversee and manage all regulatory reporting functions with a team of 5-6 across London and Europe. The role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, trading book products, strong analytical skills, and leadership abilities to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the regulatory reporting team across EMEA, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to authorities such as the FCA and Bafin/Bundesbank, including MIFID PRU/IFR reporting for European entities.
  3. Report key regulatory metrics (capital, liquidity, concentration) for internal monitoring and dashboards.
  4. Support system and process development to meet department needs for new business and regulatory changes, including testing reporting systems.
  5. Collaborate with business and risk teams on capital planning, risk assessment, and capital allocation.
  6. Work with risk teams to optimize existing regulatory treatments for business development.
  7. Maintain relationships with FCA and industry associations, managing escalations around reporting breaches.
  8. Produce Pillar 3 disclosures in coordination with reporting and risk teams.
  9. Support the development of ICARA (Pillar 2), including wind-down plans and stress scenarios.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, CFA) preferred.
  • Extensive regulatory reporting experience within investment banking.
  • Deep knowledge of UK and EU regulations, including MIFIDPRU and IFR.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with exposure to senior stakeholders across all business areas.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting tools, preferably AXIOM.
