Director - Eximius Finance (Accounting and Finance recruitment)
A top-tier US Investment Bank, operating a hybrid working policy with 3 days in the office, is seeking a Head of Regulatory Reporting. This role can be hired at Senior VP or Director level. You will oversee and manage all regulatory reporting functions with a team of 5-6 across London and Europe. The role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, trading book products, strong analytical skills, and leadership abilities to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the regulatory reporting team across EMEA, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to authorities such as the FCA and Bafin/Bundesbank, including MIFID PRU/IFR reporting for European entities.
- Report key regulatory metrics (capital, liquidity, concentration) for internal monitoring and dashboards.
- Support system and process development to meet department needs for new business and regulatory changes, including testing reporting systems.
- Collaborate with business and risk teams on capital planning, risk assessment, and capital allocation.
- Work with risk teams to optimize existing regulatory treatments for business development.
- Maintain relationships with FCA and industry associations, managing escalations around reporting breaches.
- Produce Pillar 3 disclosures in coordination with reporting and risk teams.
- Support the development of ICARA (Pillar 2), including wind-down plans and stress scenarios.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, CFA) preferred.
- Extensive regulatory reporting experience within investment banking.
- Deep knowledge of UK and EU regulations, including MIFIDPRU and IFR.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with exposure to senior stakeholders across all business areas.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting tools, preferably AXIOM.
