Head of Regulatory Compliance, Clinical Governance and Policy
  • Job Title: Head of Regulatory Compliance, Clinical Governance and Policy
  • Location: Remote with some travel
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 depending on experience
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Applicants must be based in England

United Response is seeking an experienced and strategic leader for the role of Head of Regulatory Compliance, Clinical Governance and Policy. This position is ideal for a subject matter expert (SME) with in-depth knowledge of social care regulations, passionate about driving quality, safety, and compliance across care services.

Key Purpose of the Role:

To ensure we meet regulators' requirements and operate at an outstanding rating across our regulated services. To provide a framework of policies that support the organisation to remain within the law and follow best practices.

What we need from you:

Qualifications

  • Essential: Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Institute of Risk Management, CQI, etc.)
  • Desirable: Level 7 qualification in a relevant field such as health and social care management, risk and compliance, public administration, or healthcare law
  • Desirable: Past or present registration with the NMC or relevant regulator and/or a nursing degree or equivalent clinical qualification

Experience

  • Experience as an organisation's subject matter expert on Social Care Regulations, including CQC, CIW etc.
  • Experience in providing authoritative guidance to registered managers and senior leaders to ensure high operational regulatory compliance
