About the Role :
As our Head of R&D Australia, you’ll lead the design and development of innovative power electronics (inverters) and energy storage systems (ESS). With exceptional leadership and communication skills, you’ll enhance team performance, streamline processes, and foster cross-border collaboration. Leading a local team and working closely with Shenzhen’s R&D group, your insights and expertise will ensure our products align with market demands, meet regulatory standards, and stay ahead of technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Build, manage, and mentor an R&D team focused on power electronics and ESS.
- Process Improvement : Optimize R&D workflows to boost efficiency and product quality.
- Global Collaboration : Partner with the local product team and Shenzhen R&D team to achieve shared goals.
- Strategic Expertise : Guide product development by analyzing market trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Innovation Focus : Design and implement advanced solutions for power electronics and energy storage systems.
Qualifications :
- A master’s degree or higher with over 5 years of leadership experience in top-tier photovoltaic inverter or energy storage companies. Experience in the lithium battery industry is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end customer experiences, from presales to aftersales, ensuring satisfaction at every stage. Skills include identifying customer needs, creating tailored proposals, and presenting effective solutions.
- Solid understanding of the solar energy and renewable industry landscape, with awareness of emerging trends. Familiarity with Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) is highly valued.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in Chinese is a plus.
- Adept at documenting workflows, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining accurate records for operational clarity.
