About the Role :

As our Head of R&D Australia, you’ll lead the design and development of innovative power electronics (inverters) and energy storage systems (ESS). With exceptional leadership and communication skills, you’ll enhance team performance, streamline processes, and foster cross-border collaboration. Leading a local team and working closely with Shenzhen’s R&D group, your insights and expertise will ensure our products align with market demands, meet regulatory standards, and stay ahead of technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Team Leadership : Build, manage, and mentor an R&D team focused on power electronics and ESS.
2. Process Improvement : Optimize R&D workflows to boost efficiency and product quality.
3. Global Collaboration : Partner with the local product team and Shenzhen R&D team to achieve shared goals.
4. Strategic Expertise : Guide product development by analyzing market trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
5. Innovation Focus : Design and implement advanced solutions for power electronics and energy storage systems.

Qualifications :

1. A master’s degree or higher with over 5 years of leadership experience in top-tier photovoltaic inverter or energy storage companies. Experience in the lithium battery industry is a plus.
2. Proven ability to manage end-to-end customer experiences, from presales to aftersales, ensuring satisfaction at every stage. Skills include identifying customer needs, creating tailored proposals, and presenting effective solutions.
3. Solid understanding of the solar energy and renewable industry landscape, with awareness of emerging trends. Familiarity with Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) is highly valued.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in Chinese is a plus.
5. Adept at documenting workflows, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining accurate records for operational clarity.
