Job summary

HRGO Recruitment in Manchester is searching for an experienced Head of Quality (Pharmaceutical) to guide the quality function across QA, QC and QMS. You will drive regulatory compliance with MHRA and EU GMP, lead audits, and steer CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role reports to the Senior Leadership Team and requires a scientific degree with extensive GMP manufacturing QA/QC experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A scientific degree (Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry or similar).
• Significant experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MHRA regulations, EU GMP and quality management systems.
• Experience leading regulatory and customer audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site's Quality Assurance, Quality Control and QMS.
• Lead MHRA, customer and internal audits and inspections.
• Drive CAPA, deviation management, validation and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain quality risk management systems and ensure inspection readiness.
• Develop and approve SOPs, quality documentation and technical agreements.
• Lead, coach and develop the quality team while managing departmental performance and KPIs.
• Work closely with Operations and Senior Leadership to improve quality, compliance and business performance.
