Job summary

North West Training Council (NWTC) is seeking a Head of Quality to lead and support high standards in teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation.

As Head of Quality, you will develop and deliver the quality strategy, oversee quality assurance activities and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a senior leadership role with strong communication and problem-solving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proven senior quality role experience in FE or education.
• Strong knowledge of QA frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to lead change and build high-performing teams.
• Experience with data to drive improvement.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NWTC Quality Strategy and promote high standards.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives across curriculum teams.
• Design and oversee QA processes (self-assessment, audits, compliance).
• Monitor outcomes and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop staff through mentoring and coaching.
• Collaborate with awarding bodies and regulators for inspections.
