Job summary

Steatite is seeking an experienced Head of Quality to lead development and transformation of Quality across our Leominster operations. You will report to the General Manager and shape Quality from engineering to production, embedding a proactive culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires senior leadership experience in engineering or high-reliability manufacturing, with strong ISO 9001/AS9100 knowledge and hands-on delivery in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in engineering or technical manufacturing.
• Experience building or transforming a Quality Management System.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100, including implementation or development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Transition ISO 9001 capability in-house and embed AS9100.
• Provide Quality leadership as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Strengthen product release, inspection and testing processes for conformity.
• Develop approaches to non-conformance, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Translate technical requirements into repeatable processes and controls.
• Strengthen supplier Quality expectations and corrective-action processes.
• Establish Quality ownership, governance and accountability across the business.
• Lead, coach and develop the Quality team across functions.
• Promote structured problem-solving and a culture of prevention.
