Job summary

Wireless Logic in Reading is seeking a Head of Quality Engineering to lead the Engineering-wide quality strategy and ensure highly available connectivity services.

This role partners with engineering leaders across software, mobile core, networks and infrastructure to raise quality through standards, automation and governance.

You'll build a Quality Engineering community, measure defect trends, and drive improvements while supporting a hybrid office culture.

Qualifications

• Define and own the Quality Engineering strategy across software, mobile core, networks and infrastructure.
• Lead and develop Test Engineers with clear expectations and growth opportunities.
• Establish common quality standards for test strategies, data, automation and evidence.
• Improve release confidence and change safety through risk-based testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and publish the Engineering-wide Quality Engineering vision and roadmap.
• Provide line management, coaching and career development for Test Engineers.
• Define practical standards for test data, automation, regression and release readiness.
• Partner with engineers and leaders to make safer releases with proper pre-release checks.
• Measure quality outcomes and drive continuous improvement with meaningful metrics.
• Drive automation and repeatability across unit to end-to-end testing and deployment verification.
