Job description

Job Title: Head of Quality, NWSSP Pharmacy Division

NWSSP Pharmacy Division is recruiting for the position of Head of Quality. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive GMP knowledge and experience gained through quality assurance roles.

The postholder will be managerially accountable for staff, services, and resources related to quality assurance for the existing production unit, ensuring compliance with GMP, GCP, GDP, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, The Human Medicines Regulations, and other statutory requirements. The role aims to deliver a timely, high-quality, patient-focused service.

We are developing a new radiopharmacy service with a state-of-the-art unit at IP5, adjacent to the current production site. The postholder will oversee the application for a variation to our specials licence to include this new facility, playing a key role in service development and MHRA licensing preparations.

The postholder will be responsible for operational licensing, including Manufacturer’s License (Specials), Manufacturer’s License (Investigational Medicinal Products), Wholesale Dealing Authorisation, and Controlled Drugs License, all regulated by the MHRA and Home Office.

In collaboration with the Head of Production, the postholder will maintain contact with MHRA inspectors and auditors, implementing effective CAPA in response to inspections.

Desirable: proficiency in Welsh; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
