Head of Quality (UK) - Manufacturing

Location: Haydock (Regular travel required)
Salary: up to £80,000 plus car plus bonus

Are you a dynamic and results-driven Quality Leader with a passion for driving excellence across multiple sites? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? The Role:

As Head of Quality, you will lead the development and implementation of the quality strategy for a leading manufacturing organization. Managing multiple sites, you'll ensure top-tier quality standards while continuously improving processes and systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, collaboration with teams, and proactive resolution of quality issues. With approximately 60% travel, you'll be central to operations, ensuring alignment and fostering a culture of quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a long-term quality strategy aligned with business goals
  2. Lead, mentor, and motivate a multisite Quality Assurance team
  3. Manage risk assessments, supplier quality, and process audits
  4. Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis & corrective actions
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and customers
  7. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace)
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality tools, and methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, FMEA)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and lead continuous improvement
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel across UK sites
