Job Title: Head of QA

Location: London, UK (Full-Time, On-Site)

Salary: £95,000 per annum

My client is a fast-growing fintech firm building a cutting-edge Investor Onboarding Platform designed to streamline compliance, KYC, and investment workflows. Backed by top-tier investors, they are scaling their product and operations rapidly and are looking for a Head of QA to lead our quality assurance efforts and drive our testing strategy end to end.

As Head of QA, you will be responsible for owning and evolving quality assurance processes across the platform. You will lead our testing strategy, implement and manage automated and manual testing frameworks, and work closely with product, development, and DevOps teams to ensure robust, secure, and scalable releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement the QA strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.

Lead and scale a high-performing QA team (initially hands-on).

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Postman/API testing frameworks.

Oversee test case management, defect tracking, and reporting via Azure DevOps.

Collaborate with developers to ensure testable code and clear documentation.

Ensure full test coverage of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Drive continuous improvement in test processes and tooling.

Own the QA environment, coordinating deployments, test data, and environments.

Provide QA sign-off on releases and ensure quality KPIs are met.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with automated test tools (eg Selenium, Cypress, Postman).

Experience in API testing and test automation frameworks.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools.

Working knowledge of at least one programming language: Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Understanding of CI/CD processes and integration with test automation.

Leadership & Process:

5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or head role.

Experience in early-stage or scale-up product environments is highly preferred.

Ability to define QA metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement strategies.

Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have:

Experience in fintech, regtech, or onboarding/KYC platforms.

Security and performance testing experience.

Familiarity with cloud environments (eg, Azure, AWS)

Work on a high-impact product in a rapidly growing fintech space.
