In a dynamic, complex, and highly regulated environment, this role will lead the shift towards more efficient, high-quality, and compliant processes, technologies, and business models—ultimately enhancing product safety and supporting our purpose to ensure a positive benefit-risk balance for our patients.

This role will be an agent for change, developing, owning, and continuously evolving the innovation roadmap for PV, ensuring alignment with business priorities and driving UCB to the forefront of the industry. This roadmap will define a clear path for leveraging emerging technologies, optimizing workflows, and improving data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes such as increased efficiency, enhanced regulatory compliance, and improved patient safety. The role should also consider the wealth of data within the PV environment, shifting our mindset to a more exploratory, insights-driven approach that can fuel evidence generation.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement the innovation strategy for pharmacovigilance.
  • Innovate to mitigate gaps in process, technologies, and competencies, and to achieve step change improvements in efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Own and drive and regularly update the innovation roadmap for pharmacovigilance.
  • Use knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or medical technology industry to critically evaluate the potential of novel technologies and processes.
  • Build a transversal network across UCB and with external partners to enable collaborative, outcome-focused innovations for the benefit of our key stakeholders.
