Position Overview

Are you an experienced Psychologist passionate about delivering high-quality care? We seek a Head of Psychology to oversee our departments across Delfryn Lodge, Delfryn House, and Rhyd Alyn, focusing on women and men with complex mental health needs. Cygnet has been providing specialist mental health services for over 30 years, offering opportunities for career progression within a supportive team.

About Our Services
  • Delfryn Lodge: A 24-bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for women with severe mental illness, designed to promote wellness and recovery.
  • Delfryn House: High dependency inpatient rehabilitation for men with severe mental illness, often stepping down from secure settings.
  • Rhyd Alyn: A community rehab service for women progressing through inpatient pathways.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialist psychological assessments, interpret tests, and facilitate individual and group therapy, considering risks and social needs.
  • Develop risk assessments and care plans collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide psychological insights and consultation to staff, families, and agencies.
  • Contribute to professional meetings and CPD events.
  • Train and supervise Assistant Psychologists and support the APDP program.
Candidate Requirements
  • HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience in mental health or forensic settings.
  • Minimum of 3 years' qualified experience.
  • Effective team player with trauma-informed care experience.
  • Ability to handle complex behaviors and mental health issues.

Additional Information
