A leading mental health service provider is seeking an experienced Head of Psychology at Stockton Hall Hospital. The role involves leadership over the psychology team, ensuring high-quality service delivery for complex clients, and contributing to the clinical governance of the department. Candidates should have extensive experience in therapeutic practices and hold HCPC registration. Competitive salary from £78,250 to £88,250 based on experience, alongside professional development opportunities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Psychology service at Stockton Hall Hospital. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Consultant Psychologist, with robust experience within a forensic setting; someone who is a confident leader and is keen to develop to contribute to service development, including trauma informed care.
At Stockton Hall Hospital, just outside York, we are well-known for producing positive clinical outcomes for highly complex patients. We currently provide a medium-secure care setting in which patients access a broad range of therapeutic interventions including one-to-one and group-based psychological treatments.
Our service has produced excellent recovery results for patients, maximising their opportunity to progress to conditions of lower-security and community settings as safely and efficiently as possible.

The Head of Psychology will work closely with the Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services and Medical Director. It will be the responsibility of the Head of Psychology to ensure both the professional psychological practice and quality of the psychology department, to ensure excellence in patient experience and outcomes.
You will be responsible for the delivery of reflective practice groups within the services and do so with an understanding of the model underpinning your service.
You will have effective consultancy skills and able to manage clinical/organisational projects; and have competence in line management responsibilities and service-related standards including clinical governance.

If you are successful, you will be expected to complete a full two weeks induction upon starting with us at Priory and these occur on the first two weeks of every month.
