Job Title: Head of Proposition (Adviser Experience)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

As Head of Proposition (Adviser), you will be responsible for Royal London's adviser proposition and experience across UK products and propositions. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the overall strategy and direction from the Lifestage teams, ensuring the delivery of consistent, adviser-focused journeys within the relevant propositions, managing the impact of change on the propositions to ensure efficiency, join up and consistency across life stages and products.

This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring advisers experience ease and efficiency when dealing with Royal London, working in partnership with them. You will be passionate about helping, advisers grow their business and delivering value to their clients. You will reduce risk and cost and enhancing performance through the use of data-driven insights and digital automation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to align delivery with business goals, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Your remit includes oversight of all adviser touchpoints, performance metrics, the integration of adviser systems as well as the development of new specialist products and solutions, with a strong emphasis on governance, transformation, and strategic planning, directed by Consumer Duty.

You will also play a key role in developing future capabilities, working with both internal and external 3rd parties. This is a leadership role that demands strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence at all levels.

About the role

• Provide expertise around the proposition offerings you are responsible for
• Develop and manage proposition roadmap, ensuring clear prioritisation and timely delivery of key milestones
• Manage proposition related budgets and optimise resource allocation to deliver agreed outcomes
• Work closely with business units, project teams, and technical staff to align adviser services with business needs
• Support the smooth introduction of new adviser services, ensuring alignment with IT Service Standards
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Responsible for owning the risks faced by proposition area, operating within risk appetite

About you

• Excellent communicator who can create partnership relationships with all business functions
• Ability to influence at a senior level, based on solid understanding of propositions, strategy and business direction.
• Strong expertise of relevant proposition, process and markets and up to date knowledge of the financial services industry and how different types of advisers operate within this
• Experience in managing proposition development, governance and conduct risk within the legislative / regulatory framework
• Commercially astute with the ability to understand and be innovative in the approach to managing budgets and risk framework
• Strong leadership skills, inspiring teams to work collaboratively and creatively to meet ambition
