Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Head of Submissions to lead and enhance our submissions function from Waterbeach, Cambridge (or Birmingham/Castle Donington/Stansted). This role drives strategy, governance and high-quality responses across business units to win work and support sustainable growth.

You will oversee a team, champion best practice, and collaborate with BD, Pre-Construction, Operations and clients to deliver outstanding client experiences throughout procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, high-value submissions.
• Strong understanding of client evaluation processes and responses.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Setting the submissions strategy, standards and operating model for the business unit.
• Acting as the senior submissions authority for strategically important opportunities.
• Partnering with teams to develop winning, client-focused submissions.
• Establishing governance and QA to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Leading and developing the submissions team to foster collaboration and learning.
