Job Description:

We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning Housing Association based in Bristol, seeking to appoint a Head of Compliance (Customer Safety).

This is a full-time position based in Bristol, with hybrid working (2-3 days home working) and a salary of up to £80,000 per year, dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Social Housing and in all the ‘Big 6’ compliance areas.

The duties include (but are not limited to):

• Managing statutory compliance and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across gas, electrical, asbestos, fire safety, legionella, water, and lifts
• Transitioning compliance responsibilities from Housing Management to the Housing Repairs Service Team, improving processes for efficiency and service delivery
• Developing and maintaining a compliance schedule and servicing cycles to ensure ongoing compliance
• Evaluating compliance data and KPIs to produce assurance reports on compliance performance and statutory obligations
• Reviewing and developing compliance policies and procedures in line with legislation and sector best practices
• Ensuring landlord compliance responsibilities are met, even where direct maintenance is not retained
• Managing budgets related to compliance activities and forecasting future expenditures

Experience required:

• Experience in Social Housing
• Experience with asbestos, legionella, water, LOLER, lifts, gas, fire, and electrics

Skills, knowledge, and expertise required:

• Compliance budgets, KPIs, PPMs, and Social Housing knowledge
• Compliance and due diligence

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
