Overview

Key duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Identifying and developing consultancy opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Building a strong network of contacts in the non-life sector, developing and maintaining good relationships with nominated clients
  • Providing high-quality support to insurance and reinsurance clients both in the UK and globally, either on a consulting basis or via secondment to the client, delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Collaborating across the business, particularly with investment specialists, to deliver on cross-practice projects
  • Helping to promote insurance offerings to a wider audience, including conference speaking and writing articles
  • Developing and shaping new investment propositions for clients and prospects

Qualifications required:

  • Likely qualified UK actuaries with relevant post-qualification experience, depending on experience

Experience required:

  • Strategic business acumen and knowledge of risks facing the insurance industry, gained in an ‘in-house’ or consultancy role
  • Good knowledge of Solvency II requirements and familiarity with PRA and FCA handbooks
  • Understanding of risk management frameworks used by insurance companies
  • Strong actuarial techniques knowledge and IT skills
