They are seeking a Head of Promotions to drive the strategic and financial success of their event portfolio, ensuring profitability, cultural relevance, and demand.

The Role: Head of Promotions

The Head of Promotions will oversee a diverse portfolio of ticketed events, leading teams of promoters to drive revenue, audience growth, and brand positioning. This is a strategic, commercially focused leadership role requiring expertise in event curation, ticketing, pricing, sponsorship, and multi-market expansion.

Experience:
  • 10+ years in live event promotions, talent booking, or ticketing strategy, with a proven track record of scaling events profitably.
  • Experience managing multi-city or international event portfolios.
  • Ability to lead data-driven ticketing and pricing strategies.
  • Strong industry relationships with talent agencies, ticketing platforms, and brand partners.
  • Leadership experience managing high-performing teams across multiple locations.
  • Financial acumen, including P&L management, sales forecasting, and revenue optimization.
  • Experience with major promotion companies (e.g., Live Nation, AEG) or leading independents.
  • Understanding of sponsorship integration and brand activations.
  • Experience expanding event brands into new markets or launching festivals.
  • Knowledge of global music trends and emerging audience behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owns the strategic vision for the event portfolio, ensuring financial and creative optimization.
  • Develops multi-year expansion strategies, identifying new markets and audiences.
  • Works with artist booking to secure talent aligned with brand and demand.
  • Ensures a balanced event calendar across seasons, locations, and demographics.
Ticketing & Pricing Strategy
  • Develops dynamic pricing models, including tiered tickets, VIPs, and loyalty programs.
  • Owns P&L responsibility, managing budgets and revenue targets.
  • Collaborates with ticketing platforms to optimize sales channels.
  • Uses sales data and trends to adjust pricing and promotional efforts.
Commercial & Sponsorship Integration
  • Works with brand and sponsorship teams for activation integration.
  • Secures commercial partnerships to add value beyond ticket sales.
  • Develops marketing strategies aligning ticketing and sponsorship goals.
Market Positioning & Industry leadership
  • Represents the company at industry events and panels.
  • Maintains understanding of consumer behavior and industry trends.
  • Balances strategic vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Uses analytics to optimize sales and pricing.
  • Negotiates talent, venues, and partnerships.
  • Plans for market expansion and growth.
  • Manages risks and navigates challenges.
  • Collaborates across departments for event success.
