University College London (UK) is recruiting for a Head of Project Management to join us on a 12-month FTC basis.
As Head of Project Management, you will lead a team of three project management professionals and be responsible for the team’s portfolio, which currently includes UCL-led collaborative projects funded by national and international funders (e.g., Horizon Europe, Gates Foundation, EDCTP3). You will also develop this portfolio and the service offerings in close collaboration with the Director of Award Services.
The team’s remit covers project management services for UCL academics leading externally funded research projects.
Interviews are planned for late w/c 6th May, with a one-stage interview process envisioned.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated, with experience in higher education or research environments and knowledge of Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe funding programs. You should have a proven track record of managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines independently, delivering high standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with confidence in reporting to stakeholders and explaining complex contractual and financial matters to non-specialists. You should be a motivated self-starter, adept at managing shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools (Office 365, Microsoft Project) is required. A strong understanding of project management principles and cultural awareness is also necessary to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
