Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is supporting an established independent construction consultancy in appointing a Director of Project Management to lead and expand its PM offering in the UK. The role involves strategic and operational ownership, shaping the PM function, and working with senior leadership to drive growth and client relationships.

You will build a dedicated PM team, set delivery standards and develop the commercial strategy, while maintaining hands-on involvement with key projects

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience within a construction consultancy.
• Strong track record leading complex construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to establish best-practice PM processes, governance and reporting.
• Entrepreneurial and commercially minded with ability to shape a standalone PM service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Project Management offering.
• Establish governance, processes and reporting for the PM service.
• Provide senior oversight across key PM commissions.
• Build and develop a dedicated PM team as the service grows.
• Set professional and technical standards for the PM team.
• Identify and secure new PM opportunities and develop the commercial strategy.

Education

MRICS / MAPM or equivalent
