Job summary

Fairholme, a London-based creative events studio, seeks a Head of Delivery to lead the agency’s production team and drive high standards of creative execution, client experience, and profitability. The role oversees the full lifecycle from pitching to post-event reconciliation, guiding a seven-person team with room to grow.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in senior event delivery, strong on-site leadership, and a proven track record in managing budgets, contracts, and client relationships

Qualifications

  • Proven senior event delivery with 8+ years delivering events and multi-disciplinary project management.
  • Strong on-site production leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts and invoicing.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Experience with press and influencer events is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end delivery of all projects across the company to ensure operational and production excellence and seamless delivery across all projects.
  • Lead on day to day management of your direct reports, being accountable for their performance and optimisation of the team. This is currently a team of seven with scope to grow within the next year.
  • Provide directional strategic, operational and production oversight across all live and pitching projects ensuring quality control and excellence from concept to delivery.
  • Maintain the end-to-end delivery framework of all events, including all pre-production planning, documentation, on-site delivery and client account management, rigorously ensuring quality control and delivery at the highest level.
  • Work with your direct reports to set project and long term objectives and goals, ensuring the smooth running and delivery of every project.
  • Allow your team to flourish by providing them with management support in all areas of their role.
  • Manage the event team’s workflow and external event resources; including recruitment, interns, freelancer recruitment and onboarding with support of the founder.
  • Oversee event budgeting, costing parameters, contracts, invoicing and accounting of projects with precision and foresight at a leadership level ensuring they meet business objectives, ensuring all projects achieve agreed profit.
  • Be responsible for signing off high level spend on projects, ensuring that comparing quotes have been researched and the best option has been chosen.
  • Project admin - ensure all the correct PO's, sign off, SOW have been actioned for projects to go ahead.
  • Monitor team’s time on project and spend within the project to ensure we are hitting operating costs and a healthy profit across all projects.
  • Work closely with the finance team and Finance Director to ensure clients are being billed correctly and in a timely manner, supporting the finance team where possible on late payments etc.
  • Manage communications with internal teams (design and creative) to deliver fully integrated and seamless client experiences, including the communication with your direct reports, reducing 'noise' and ensuring all comms is strategic and supportive.
  • Drive operational efficiency by refining processes, workflows and documentation across the business, ensuring divisions work well together.
  • Build client relationships and nurture accounts, supporting the team with client management to ensure communication and relationships are maintained throughout the planning process.
  • Be the figurehead for production within the business, you will sign off all production elements, ensuring the highest of standards and quality across all projects.
  • Support the team in sourcing and managing production partners, signing off SOW, technical drawings, production timelines and negotiating budgets to favour our profit line.
  • Create a dynamic work flow for all production items, ensuring the team are fully educated on production terminology, timelines, new materials and trends.
  • Sign off and ensure all health and safety, insurance and legal obligations are adhered to pre‑on site and through the project delivery.
  • Track spend across pitching across your division and other divisions ensuring we do not overservice on certain clients or projects.
  • Be responsible for managing workloads, job allocations, team holiday processes, feedback, progress reports and nurturing development at an HR level via our HR Partner and software, Breathe.
  • Foster an inclusive culture, building a dynamic, engaged and energised team.
  • Seek ways to improve all elements of the businesses internal processes.
  • Promote the business services to potential clients, uplifting profit for the business and encourage your team to do the same across the business.
  • Recruitment - manage your division’s headcount, ensuring we are fully equipped to handle incoming and current projects.
  • Create a database of competent and capable freelance talent to support when required in the business, understanding strengths to assign to the correct projects.

Role Description

The Head of Events is a full‑time, hybrid role based in the London.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Delivery is responsible for leading the agency’s production team ensuring the highest standards of creative execution, client experience, operational excellence and commercial performance.

They will provide senior oversight across the full project lifecycle - from pitching and scoping through to planning, production, live delivery and post‑event reconciliation, working closely with the Founder and wider leadership team to protect quality, manage risk, maximise profitability and continuously improve how the agency delivers.

The role is the delivery engine of the company. It is fundamental to the continued success of Fairholme and requires a positive, forward thinking leader with a keen eye for detail. The Head of Delivery will drive, inspire and manage a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced environment.

This role oversees end‑to‑end delivery of events and creative projects, ensuring they are scoped accurately, resourced effectively, and executed on time and within budget. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing project timelines, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, overseeing event logistics, and maintaining clear communication with clients.

Key Requirements:

Proven senior event delivery with 8 + years delivering events and multi-disciplinary project management, with brands ideally across beauty, fashion, lifestyle campaigns, mailers, PR, live activations / experiential activations. The ideal candidate will have worked on Press and influencer PR events and launches.

A strong understanding of design and production processes across the digital and production world with a firm understanding of production timings for creative delivery.

Strong hands‑on experience being on site, running and overseeing set up, build and delivery.

A high level of operational leadership, experience managing a team, overseeing project and budget management, and delivery of live events.

A high level of finish and keen eye for detail.
