The Role

As the Head of Production Finance – Film & Episodic, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Framestore’s global production finance teams across London, Montreal and Melbourne. You'll provide financial oversight and support throughout the entire lifecycle of our F&E productions, from initial sales bidding to final delivery. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our financial strategies align with our business goals and creative ambitions.

You’ll have strategic Input to the design, implementation, and execution of short, mid, and long-term systems and tools strategies. Supporting the department to streamline templates and formats across all operating areas to ensure consistency and best practices, as well as, oversee the preparation of periodic management reporting.

You'll also

Innovate: Develop ad hoc financial models, reporting, dashboards, and analysis as needed. Work with Film management to ensure best-in-class bidding, bid costings, and bid tracking templates are in place and regularly updated.

Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and manage production finance analysts in all Framestore F&E locations. Foster a culture of feedback, mentoring, and employee development.

Operational Oversight: Ensure costs are tracked appropriately, data is accurate, and proper policies and procedures are followed. Create a collaborative environment between Production Finance and Producers.

Collaboration: Partner with Finance, FP&A, and Production to create solutions that enhance business efficiency and profitability. Work closely with Heads of Production to ensure the Production Finance teams meet business requirements.

Efficiency: Work with other film departments (Crewing, Talent, Bidding, etc.) to ensure efficient data flows and avoid duplications.

Job Requirements

Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with creative and technical teams.

Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.

Significant experience in financial oversight and support throughout the production lifecycle, from initial bidding to final delivery.

Experience in creating and standardising financial templates and reporting formats.

Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency across multiple locations.

Experience in developing and mentoring finance professionals.

Familiarity with the nuances of film production finance, including bidding, costing, and financial tracking.
