Introduction

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a talented Production Engineering team in a dynamic and growing company, making a real impact on operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Production Engineering team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of production engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Identify and implement best practices in manufacturing processes, material utilisation, and tooling to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Demonstrate expertise in assembly processes, including accurate assessment of time and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure engineering processes meet industry standards and support operational excellence.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of welding techniques - including spot, projection, MIG, TIG, and robotic welding - to support process development and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Management qualification or BEng in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent time-served role.
  • Proven ability to implement best practices in manufacturing processes, material utilisation, and tooling.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes and accurate assessment of time and resource requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
