Job summary

Autajon Packaging in Royston, United Kingdom, is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee a 50+ staff across three shifts. You will plan and control production, deliver orders on time and within budget, and ensure safety and quality.

You will drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement, manage staffing and development, monitor performance with data, and work with the Site Director to resolve issues and improve processes while maintaining strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Lead, manage and develop a production team of 50+ employees across three shift patterns.
• Plan and control production to ensure orders are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste and downtime.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, training, development, performance and attendance.
• Monitor production performance and use data to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards are maintained and drive risk-reduction activities.
• Work closely with the Site Director and wider management team to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
• Provide technical support to the production team and support equipment maintenance and improvement.
• Maintain production reports and ensure clear communication of targets, standards and performance.
• Promote a positive team culture, high standards and a strong focus on quality and customer service.
