Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Production to lead our manufacturing and production operations. This is a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting customer delivery expectations. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to align production strategies with business goals and ensure continuous improvement across our production processes.

Key Duties

• Lead and manage all aspects of production, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
• Drive the Lean implementation plan & manufacturing principles, such as 5S methodology, to optimise processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
• Develop and deliver against production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and resource availability.
• Own production processes and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Establish and maintain quality standards in accordance with ISO9001 and 9100 certifications, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, train, coach, and mentor production staff to ensure a high level of competency and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Skills/Qualifications

• Knowledge in ERP systems & Planning attributes.
• Experience in Lean methodologies, training & implementation.
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and techniques, with hands-on experience implementing 5S methodology.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and 9100 quality management systems and experience maintaining certification standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, drive performance improvements, and achieve production targets.
