Job description

Alexander Steele Recruitment are excited to be working with this successful food manufacturing business based in Kent, who now have a requirement to bring in a Head of Production.

Our client has continued to deliver exceptional sales year on year and are now at a very crucial stage of their development, so this hire for them is critical.

In this role you will take ownership of a complex, manufacturing site, covering Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality and Engineering across the business. For this role you will report into the Group Managing Director.

You will help to update & improve processes and systems to increase standards and performance across the business providing, accurate & timely reporting on departmental performance so previous experience of this is essential.

You will be tasked with managing the day to day requirements through a team of 10 direct reports but you will also have responsibility of driving & developing strategy and advising the board of directors.

What we are looking for:

• An experienced Senior Operations Leader looking for a new challenge
• You must have a background in Food Manufacturing or Consumer Goods, this is essential
• Must have experience leading manufacturing, engineering, distribution within a Food Manufacturing business.
• Knowledge of Logistical, Warehousing, Supply Chain systems would be desirable
• Experienced leader of people, adept at motivating and managing a team
• Able to challenge accepted norms and enjoy creating new solutions with a hands-on approach to problem solving
• Extensive knowledge of driving LEAN/Continuous Improvements with demonstrable results
