Head of Production  – Plymouth

The Role
  • Oversee a small team within the production engineering department. Mentor and develop the engineers, identify and implement best practices in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Support process development and troubleshooting using advanced knowledge of welding techniques, including spot, projection, MIG, TIG, and robotic welding.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure world-class production standards.

The Person
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • Effective people management skills with the ability to mentor and guide engineers while driving operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, costings, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes would be a bonus
