The Head of Product Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational efficiency, cross-functional alignment, and data-driven decision-making within the product organisation. This role will develop and oversee the processes, tools, and best practices that empower our product team to deliver high-impact products that align with our business goals.

Collaborating with product managers, engineering, design, marketing, and customer-facing teams, this role drives seamless teamwork, streamlined operations, and robust feedback systems to foster product growth and customer satisfaction. The Head of Product Operations also develops the operational infrastructure and analytics needed to guide product decisions through measurable insights and key performance metrics.

What you will do to be successful in this role as Head of Product Operations

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive operational excellence in the product development lifecycle by developing and implementing strategic frameworks, processes, and best practices.
  • Partner with Product Leadership to define and execute the product ops strategy, ensuring operational alignment and efficiency across all product teams.
  • Establish and maintain clear, consistent reporting on product development and delivery performance, providing actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine standardised product development workflows and processes to improve efficiency, predictability, and quality.
  • Lead initiatives to optimise the product roadmap process, feature prioritisation frameworks, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring clear visibility and communication of product goals and progress.
  • Champion the adoption of best practices in product management, collaborating closely with Product Managers to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Own the strategy, implementation, and optimisation of product management tools and systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the product team while maintaining data integrity, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive interoperability and integration between product management tools like Aha!, Pendo, and other relevant business systems GitHub, Salesforce to enhance cross-functional collaboration and data flow.
  • Administer and enforce governance and access controls for product development tools and systems, balancing usability with security and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement frameworks for collecting, analysing, and reporting on key product performance metrics, providing data-driven insights to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.


Core competencies:

  • Extensive experience in product operations with demonstrated success in building and scaling product operations functions.
  • Expert in product metrics, data frameworks, and the use of tools such as GitHub, Aha!, Pendo, Salesforce, to drive insights and optimise product outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement frameworks for complex problem-solving in a high-growth, product-led environment. Skilled at identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks to improve product delivery.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build strong relationships across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
  • Excellent communicator who can facilitate alignment and drive a shared understanding of product goals across all stakeholder levels.
  • Proficiency with data visualisation tools and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience establishing frameworks for product planning, prioritisation, and resource allocation, ensuring that product teams have clear guidelines for successful execution
