About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Product - Industry/Markets to lead and scale our SaaS platform's core product offerings and their adaptation to specific energy industry/market needs.

This role is critical in ensuring our platform's relevance and competitive advantage across diverse and global utility markets.

The ideal candidate will be deeply experienced in understanding global energy market dynamics, preferably within the utilities sector or a major SaaS business, and will bring an obsession with understanding and serving the unique needs of various energy markets and solving critical energy industry challenges through innovative SaaS solutions in both B2B and B2C segments.

What you'll have
  • Collaborate with the CTO, VP for Industry and Markets, and other product leaders to shape the future of Kraken products.
  • Define and execute the product strategy for the evolution of our core platform to address key industry challenges, considering regional and market-specific features.
  • Own the roadmap and vision for outcomes at a domain level and within individual products, ensuring alignment with Kraken's vision, client needs, and market trends.
  • Continuously analyze product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth within the energy SaaS landscape.
  • Lead a high-performing team of product managers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, rapid innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with engineering, delivery, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and execution at scale.
  • Leverage AI and automation to enhance operational workflows for utility clients.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their evolving needs and incorporate insights into product development, addressing operational and regulatory challenges in utilities.
What you'll do
  • Deep understanding of the energy landscape, including market dynamics, regulations, and the transition to sustainable energy, for both client operations and end customers.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise SaaS, utilities, or large-scale customer-facing transactional platforms.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into scalable, impactful products.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills for driving alignment across complex organizations.
  • Data-driven approach, leveraging analytics to inform decisions and improve outcomes.

This role can be based in London, Paris, Tokyo, Melbourne, New York, or remote, with approximately 10-20% travel expected.
