Job summary

Carwow is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead our design team and shape the next version of our platform. You will partner with the VP of Product to define the product vision and deliver an experience that tightly connects customers and dealers.

You will lead a team of designers, balance consumer and professional needs, and bring craft, judgment and data-driven decision making to every product initiative. This is a high-visibility, strategic role in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• We want someone with strong product judgement and craft, who can make complicated things feel simple.
• Experience leading Product Design in a digital product business and a love for the work itself.
• Experience designing for marketplaces, platforms or complex products with diverse user needs.

Responsibilities

• Shape the Carwow experience with the VP of Product and Engineering leaders over the next few years.
• Design for both customers and dealers, finding opportunities that improve both sides.
• Connect discovery, buying and selling across web and app; align dealer experience as well.
• Raise the bar for design by setting high standards while staying close to the work.
• Build and develop a high-performing design team; hire great designers when needed.
• Stay close to the problem by talking to customers and dealers and reviewing work.
• Use data and experimentation with Product and Analytics to improve experiences.
• Explore what AI can enable, applying it where it truly improves the experience.
