Job summary

WRK digital is partnering on a high-impact Head of Product Development & Operations role in Manchester. You will shape the product delivery framework, translate concepts into clear priorities, and drive reliable releases across Product, Engineering and QA.

You’ll lead modern software development, improve delivery operating models, and foster a pragmatic culture focused on outcomes with a strong emphasis on collaboration with senior leadership and external teams.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead software product development and delivery in a B2B or technology-led environment.
• Experience introducing or improving a delivery operating model (SDLC/PDLC).
• Ability to challenge estimates and technical assumptions constructively.
• Track record of improving release, deployment, and delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the software product development and delivery framework.
• Turn product concepts into clear, developer-ready priorities.
• Establish planning, estimation and prioritisation practices.
• Create visibility around capacity, progress, and release commitments.
• Coordinate delivery across Product, Engineering, QA and business.
• Strengthen testing, peer review, security and release standards.
• Introduce delivery and engineering effectiveness measures.
• Improve collaboration across internal, distributed and third-party teams.
• Support customer onboarding and commercial delivery commitments.
• Build an accountable, pragmatic delivery culture.
