Key Responsibilities

1. Set the strategic direction for the entire product function and implement it effectively.
2. Lead product development and governance, ensuring compliance, innovation, and value delivery.
3. Chair key committees, represent the business in high-level forums, and champion customer-centric product design.
4. Redesign policy wording and customer journeys to be simpler, clearer, and more accessible.
5. Conduct Fair Value Assessments and product reviews in line with FCA requirements, particularly PROD 4 and the Consumer Duty.
6. Collaborate with underwriting, distribution, and operations leaders to streamline and align product strategies with business goals.
7. Manage and mentor a high-performing product team, fostering innovation and continuous development.

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in insurance product strategy, development, and governance within an FCA-regulated environment.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance best practices.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen paired with a commitment to customer fairness and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with policy wording, customer journey optimization, and monitoring regulatory changes.
