Job description

The Head of Product will define, manage and maintain the full commercial life cycle of products and services for D&T group, from business development, product inception, business case creation, product development, channel/branch management, pricing, financial analysis of results and continuous improvement, to include:

  • Frames
  • Sunglasses
  • Lenses
  • Audiology products and Services
  • Sundries
  • Optical Services (e.g.OCT)

Working in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business including, but not limited to:- Marketing, retail leadership, buyers, procurement, lens technical specialists, professional services and Finance.

Responsible for managing a small team who make the frame selections and manage the stock within the branches/channel. This includes stock takes, replenishment of stock and channel blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and maintains portfolio of products and services by branch/channel.
  • Owns the catalogue – co-ordinating insights and expertise from across the business
  • Generates business cases and completes ROI analysis
  • Leads pricing with retail and finance
  • Owns Promotions (definition, roll out, support and performance analysis)
  • Manages all change requests and new product introduction
  • Analysis of current product and service performance

Required Work Experience

  • Retail Experience and Product Management for a multi SKU B2C business.
  • Previous experience in similar role, B2C multi product business – essential
  • Experiencing of operating as a Senior Manager – essential
  • Head of Product roles previously - desirable
  • Experience of working in a clinical environment in a similar role - desirable
