Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, third party risk and supplier governance to ensure compliance with contracts and standards.
  • Oversee the procurement lifecycle, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and fulfil procurement needs effectively.
  • Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Procurement & TPRM should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement and third party risk management within the financial services industry.
  • A strong understanding of procurement best practices, policies, and regulations, as well as a tech / software biased category background.
  • Experience with DORA and SS2/21.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • The ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and supplier performance.
  • Experience in managing complex procurement projects and budgets.
  • A relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in procurement.
