Job Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, third party risk and supplier governance to ensure compliance with contracts and standards.
- Oversee the procurement lifecycle, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and fulfil procurement needs effectively.
- Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Procurement & TPRM should have:
- Proven experience in procurement and third party risk management within the financial services industry.
- A strong understanding of procurement best practices, policies, and regulations, as well as a tech / software biased category background.
- Experience with DORA and SS2/21.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- The ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and supplier performance.
- Experience in managing complex procurement projects and budgets.
- A relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in procurement.
