Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:Define the purpose and strategy for Supplier Assurance, setting clear, measurable goals that align with business requirements and regulatory objectives.
Compliance Management:Ensure both procurement compliance and third-party risk are effectively managed, monitored, and maintained in line with Bupa’s risk appetite in a regulated environment.
Regulatory Adherence:Stay informed and keep up to date with regulatory changes and revisions relating to third-party risk management, including PRA, FCA, and CBI regulations.
Risk Management:Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures, including segmentation and due diligence to identify, assess, and mitigate risks within procurement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with SMEs, including Finance, Legal, Infosec, and Privacy, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supplier risk management.
Training and Support:Provide guidance and support to senior management on third-party supplier risk-related issues and regulatory compliance, and develop training to enhance risk awareness.
Team Leadership:Lead, coach, and develop a small team of Supplier Assurance specialists, inspiring them to perform well and achieve department goals.
Policy Ownership:Support the Chief Procurement Officer in the role of Enterprise Risk and Policy Owner for the Supplier Policy, ensuring continuous monitoring across all MUs.
Audit and Assessment:Conduct thorough risk assessments and work collaboratively with the internal audit team to identify potential risks in the procurement process.
Systemic Control:Responsible for the systemic control and management of Supplier Assurance.
What We’re Looking For
Regulatory Knowledge:Knowledge of the regulatory framework and requirements of PRA, FCA, and CBI.
Risk Management Expertise:Proven experience in procurement risk management, preferably within a large organisation.
Policy Development:Ability to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
Communication Skills:Excellent communication skills, able to present competently and influence senior leaders.
Leadership:Ability to lead and develop a team, inspiring them to achieve department goals.
Analytical Skills:Comprehensive analytical skills to identify, manage, monitor, and report risks at a senior level.
Professional Certification:A professional certification in risk management and/or procurement is preferred.
Education:Educated to degree level or equivalent.
