About the Role

This is an exciting position within a well-established food company experiencing a planned period of growth. Known for their heritage, quality, and innovation, they are seeking a Head of Procurement to lead their procurement team. The role involves managing existing supplier relationships, overseeing purchasing for current products, and developing a co-manufacturing supply base to support new product development (NPD) and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement long-term strategic procurement plans aligned with company growth objectives.
2. Manage and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers for ingredients and raw materials.
3. Lead and develop a small procurement team.
4. Drive value within the current supply base to ensure competitive advantage.
5. Build and manage a co-manufacturing supply base to support NPD and growth initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Degree educated or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience at Senior Buyer level within the food industry, particularly in ingredient procurement.
• Proven track record in strategic supplier management and sourcing.
• Strong decision-making and relationship management skills, comfortable engaging with Managing Directors and senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel across Europe; fluency in a second European language is advantageous.
