Are you a strategic procurement leader ready to build something from the ground up?

A high-growth, PE-backed business in the financial technology space is seeking a Head of Procurement to establish and lead its first in-house procurement function. Following a recent carve-out from a global parent organisation, this business is scaling rapidly and looking to develop best-in-class procurement capabilities aligned with its global operations.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment, where you’ll shape strategy, build a team, and lead procurement transformation with significant executive visibility.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the creation of a standalone procurement function, post-carve-out from a global parent.
• Design and implement procurement strategy, policies, and processes across multiple regions.
• Build and manage a team (expected to grow to 4–5 people) to support operational and strategic procurement needs.
• Manage a £60m annual spend across Technology, Travel, Professional Services, and specialist market data vendors.
• Develop robust Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and supplier governance frameworks.
• Act as a trusted partner to the CEO, CFO and executive team, aligning procurement with business goals.
• Negotiate and optimise key supplier relationships, driving value and performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading procurement in a carve-out, transformation, or greenfield context.
• Deep category knowledge across Tech, Travel, Professional Services, and ideally financial data services.
• Strong expertise in supplier management, risk governance, and contract negotiation.
• Hands-on leadership style with a commercial, strategic mindset.
• Ability to operate at pace in a dynamic, international environment.
• Comfortable being office-based 3 days per week in Central London
