Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is representing a globally renowned health and fitness brand in their search for a Head of Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating contracts, managing supplier quality and service levels, optimizing supply chain management, and ensuring procurement activities align with company goals and budgets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and service.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company’s needs and objectives.
- Analyze market trends and supplier offerings to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Forecast future procurement requirements based on business needs and market conditions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, quality, and service level agreements with suppliers.
- Manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Ensure all contracts are signed, executed, and adhered to by both parties.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
- Monitor spending patterns to ensure budget compliance.
- Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams for stock replenishment.
- Oversee logistics to ensure smooth delivery and storage of goods.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Provide guidance on procurement processes, policies, and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks impacting business operations.
- Maintain accurate records for auditing and reporting.
- Manage and mentor the procurement team, supporting their development.
- Ensure effective communication, task delegation, and coordination within the team.
- Oversee team performance, professional development, and career growth.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.
- Experience in the fitness, hospitality, or leisure sectors is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with supply chain risk management, ESG frameworks, and sustainable sourcing.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain processes, market analysis, and inventory management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
