Head of Procurement – Food & Non-Food

Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 + bonus + benefits

Sector: Multi-site QSR / Food Retail

A high-growth, internationally backed quick service restaurant (QSR) brand is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Procurement to lead all procurement activities across the UK. With over 100 locations and significant expansion plans underway, this is a critical leadership role focused on ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness and supply chain stability across both food and non-food categories.

The Role

The Head of Procurement will oversee the strategy, sourcing, and supplier management for all food and non-food goods and services. This includes core ingredients, packaging, equipment, uniforms, and indirect categories such as cleaning and logistics. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and international teams to ensure best-in-class procurement practices while supporting rapid business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the UK procurement strategy across all categories
  • Manage and optimise supplier relationships for quality, value, and service
  • Deliver measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvements
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sustainability, and business continuity standards
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with business needs
  • Oversee tender processes, negotiations, and contract management
  • Monitor supply risks and implement mitigation plans as needed

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role, ideally within QSR, food retail, or hospitality
  • Deep understanding of food supply chains, commercial negotiation, and category management
  • Experience managing procurement for both direct (food) and indirect (non-food) categories
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with a track record of driving efficiencies and cost reductions
  • Familiarity with franchise or multi-site business models is preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities
