Our client, a leading provider of market intelligence, data, insights, and events, is seeking a Head of Procurement to drive their procurement strategy and support future growth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a company that has recently undergone transformational M&A activities and nearly doubled in size.

Position Overview

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a group-wide procurement strategy aligned with the company's business goals. You will lead sourcing and procurement across indirect spend categories, build robust procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks, and establish and manage supplier relationships to ensure value, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a group-wide procurement strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead sourcing and procurement across indirect spend categories (IT, professional services, marketing, facilities)
• Build robust procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks
• Establish and manage supplier relationships to ensure value, compliance, and risk mitigation
• Identify and deliver cost savings and process efficiencies
• Partner with senior stakeholders to embed procurement as a strategic function
• Implement tools and reporting frameworks for performance tracking
• Contribute to the requirements gathering and implementation of a new finance ERP system as it pertains to procurement

Requirements

• Experience in procurement leadership roles, ideally within PE-backed or high-growth businesses
• Demonstrated success in building or transforming procurement functions in greenfield environments
• Ability to balance perfection with practical implementation
• Proven record of setting up procurement processes from scratch
• Strategic thinker and self-starter comfortable with hands-on work
• Strong influencing and communication skills with the gravitas to engage C-suite
• Broad indirect category knowledge (especially IT and professional services)
• Good understanding of procurement systems, processes, and risk management
