About the Role

Due to business growth, we are recruiting a talented Head of Procurement to drive performance improvements within the regional procurement function across the UK & Ireland.

The Head of Procurement will expand, lead, shape, and develop a centralised procurement function supporting all business entities in the region.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will lead procurement risk management, drive cost savings, and enhance supplier relationship management.

Key duties and goals include:

• Embedding a continuous improvement culture
• Advancing CO2 reduction goals across our supply portfolio
• Expanding department scope
• Conducting tenders
• Identifying opportunities for supplier rationalization
• Ensuring alignment with regional strategy
• Acting as the key contact for major suppliers
• Coordinating supplier performance reviews
• Line managing regional procurement departments
• Providing expert advice to regional leadership
• Supporting and overseeing compliance

This regional role requires regular travel across the UK & Ireland. A company car/allowance is provided.

Hours of Work: 35 hours a week. Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm)

About You

You will be an established procurement senior leader, with strong experience in management and coaching, plus strong experience of supplier-facing procurement activity.

You will be accomplished at managing change and delivering transformation activity which embed best practice.

You will also have

• MCIPS qualification
• Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience/training)
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
• Negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills and numeracy
• Excellent knowledge of SAP/ERP
• Experienced with Microsoft Office
• Understanding of Health & Safety (preferably a relevant qualification such as IOSH)
• Ability to communicate strategies and concepts simply and effectively
• Full driving licence and flexibility for regular travel
