Head of Process

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Process to join an established EPC company, coming into lead the Process/Technical team and drive the implementation of key business strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, compliance with industry regulations, and the successful delivery of high-value engineering projects.

This company is a well-established engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services provider specializing in process industries, energy, and infrastructure. They deliver end-to-end solutions, from concept design and engineering to project execution and operational support. With a strong focus on technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation, they support clients across renewable energy, chemical processing, and industrial manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee process system design, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Lead and develop a high-performing technical team
• Validate and approve technical deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications
• Provide subject matter expertise across the business
• Ensure resource allocation, project timelines, and budget controls are met
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation

What We’re Looking For:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical or Chemical )
• Strong background in process system design & engineering management
• Experience leading technical teams on projects over £5M
• Deep understanding of construction, process industries, and control systems
• Proven ability to manage change, drive efficiencies, and enhance quality
