Job summary

The role will translate national policy into local action, ensure world-class primary care services, and work with executives, clinicians and external partners to deliver improvements.

• Extensive experience at very senior management level, likely Board level.
• Proven ability to drive strategic planning across primary and community services.
• Advanced knowledge of primary care governance, contracts and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of primary care policy, contracting and commissioning.
• Oversight of budget, governance, quality standards and performance management.
• Provide expert advice on complex contractual and performance matters.
• Lead negotiations with contractor professions and manage contractor performance.
