Job summary

Glenholme Specialist Healthcare is seeking a Head of Positive Behaviour Support to lead our PBS practitioner team and drive Aspire, our PBS strategy, into its next stage. You will oversee assessments, plans and training across multiple services to deliver person-centred support.

Regular travel across our 22 services is essential as you develop practitioners, maintain oversight, and align practice with goals, choices and needs, working with families and professionals to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Advanced PBS qualification or relevant professional qualification with substantial PBS training.
• Postgraduate PBS qualification or qualification in psychology/behaviour analysis or related clinical discipline.
• Experience leading/supervising PBS practitioners and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PBS practitioner team with clear standards for practice.
• Shape and deliver Aspire across services in collaboration with the Director of Quality.
• Oversee quality of functional assessments, PBS plans and reviews, supporting teams to implement plans.
• Coach managers and staff to understand behaviour, prevent distress and reduce restrictive practices.
• Provide specialist advice on complex cases, new services and transitions.
• Engage with people supported, families and professionals to reflect goals and needs.
• Use outcomes and learning to improve practice across the organisation.
• Lead training and coaching on PBS.
