Job summary

Invecta is recruiting a Head of Portfolio Analytics for a Lloyd’s Managing Agent role in London with a hybrid work model. The role focuses on pricing analytics, portfolio monitoring and strategic data initiatives across underwriting and actuarial teams.

The successful candidate will lead the development of pricing models, MI, KPIs and dashboards, while partnering with underwriting and senior management to drive informed decisions and risk monitoring across portfolios.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with pricing experience in Lloyd’s or the London Market.
• Commercially minded and able to explain complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review pricing models, limitations and how outputs feed reserving and capital.
• Develop MI and KPIs for pricing, reserving and capital teams.
• Collaborate with underwriting to monitor portfolios and risk trends.
• Create loops to keep pricing aligned with actual experience.
• Advance data analytics capability across actuarial function.
• Develop KPI and KRI dashboards for senior management.
• Own syndicate planning model as part of the SBF process.
• Contribute to strategic projects including reinsurance and data strategy.
• Support quarterly performance reporting for Lloyd’s, Group and capital providers.

Head of Portfolio Analytics | Lloyd’s Managing Agent | London (Hybrid)

Invecta are supporting a Lloyd’s Managing Agent on the appointment of a Head of Portfolio Analytics based in London.

What the role involves

• Reviewing the technical pricing models in depth: how they work, where their limits are, and how pricing outputs feed into reserving and capital assumptions.
• Building class and account level MI and KPIs that give pricing, reserving and capital teams one shared view of performance.
• Working closely with underwriting teams to understand their portfolios, changes in risk profile and emerging trends, and turning that into ongoing monitoring.
• Building feedback loops so pricing stays in step with actual experience.
• Building out the data and analytics capability across the actuarial function, including data integrity, validation and process improvement.
• Developing KPI and KRI dashboards that give senior management early signs of how the business is performing.
• Owning the syndicate planning model as part of the SBF process.
• Contributing to strategic projects, including outwards reinsurance, performance management, data strategy and legacy transactions.
• Supporting quarterly performance reporting for Lloyd’s, the Group and capital providers.

What they’re looking for

• A qualified actuary with strong pricing experience in the Lloyd’s or London Market - Essential. Your background might be pricing-led with a strong analytical bent, or analytics-led with exposure to pricing.
