Knowledge

  • A deep understanding of UK policy-making, political processes, and the life sciences research environment, health policy, and the European and international landscape.
  • Extensive knowledge of Westminster parliamentary procedures; familiarity with UK devolved administrations and EU politics is desirable.

Experience

  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence external stakeholders’ agendas.
  • Experience managing successful policy/public affairs teams at a senior level, ensuring clarity of purpose and delivery.
  • Experience leading stakeholder relations in high-profile or complex organizations.
  • Experience developing and implementing policy/public affairs strategies.
  • Experience managing reputation and risk in high-profile settings.
  • Experience advising senior leaders, including regular contact with the Chief Executive and Directors.
